4010-9922 SIMPLEX Net Work Interface Card
Simplex fire alarm networks communicate information among distributed Simplex fire alarm panels. Systems may be composed of similar capability panels sharing information, or specific nodes may be added to perform dedicated network functions.
For non-Simplex panels, a Network System Integrator can be used to connect equipment to the network using optically isolated inputs and relay contact outputs.

Electrical & Operational Specifications
- Current Draw: Draws 30 mA maximum from the host panel’s internal power supply.
- Bus Interface: Plugs directly into the panel’s internal Power Distribution Interface (PDI connector) for data and power.
- Cabinet footprint: Occupies exactly 2 vertical blocks of space within the 4010ES enclosure.
- Compliance: Fully UL Listed and FM Approved for commercial fire alarm applications.
Network Architecture & Media Support
The 4010-9922 serves as a mother-card and requires two media daughter-cards (ordered separately) to connect to the physical network wiring loop:
- Wired Media Card (4010-9818): Supports unshielded twisted pair (UTP) or shielded twisted pair (STP) copper wire.
- Fiber Optic Media Card (4010-9819): Supports multi-mode fiber optic cabling for long-distance runs or electrically noisy environments.
- Topology: Supports both standard Style 4 (Class B) and redundant Style 7 (Class A) network loops.
