FW1823-10 Extinguishing Abort switch, Surface Mounted Red-Fire Watch
The FW1823-10 is a heavy-duty, surface-mounted extinguishing abort switch designed for critical fire protection and life safety systems. Its primary function is to allow personnel to safely delay or halt the discharge of automated gaseous fire suppression systems (such as FM-200, Novec 1230, or CO2) in the event of a false alarm or if people are still evacuating the protected hazard area.

- Housing Material: Heavy-duty 1.2 mm mild sheet steel construction.
- IP Rating: IP30 (certified manufacturer protection rating).
- Color Finish: Red (RAL 3002) with a protective satin/semi-matt finish.
- Physical Dimensions: 102 mm H x 102 mm W x 50 mm D (approximately 4.02″ x 4.02″ x 1.97″).
- Unit Weight: Approximately 1.0 kg (including steel backbox).
- Mounting Options: Supplied with a matching surface-mount steel enclosure, but the internal assembly can also be unbolted and flush-mounted to a standard single-gang electrical box

- Contact Mechanism: Momentary, normally-open (N/O) double-contact mechanism.
- Integrated Trigger Resistor: Internal 470Ω 1-Watt resistor engaged during button compression.
- Supervised Line End-of-Line (EOL) Resistor: Internal 6.8kΩ 0.5-Watt monitoring resistor
- Operating Temperature Range: 23°F to 120°F (-5°C to +49°C).
- Relative Humidity Limits: 10% to 93% RH, non-condensing.
