4007ES fire alarm control units (FACUs) provide extensive installation, operator, and service features with point and module capacities suitable for a wide range of system applications. FACUs are configurable for stand-alone or networked fire control operation. The convenient and intuitive color touchscreen provides easy access for typical system response actions and for detailed system review or configuration updates with password control to limit user access. IDNet 2 addressable initiation communications and IDNAC addressable notification communications are standard features. Description
System Architecture & Power
- Primary Power Input: 120 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
- Total Power Output: 4 A overall system power shared between notification circuits, auxiliary outputs, and internal functions.
- Auxiliary Power: Up to 2 A of configurable power for peripheral devices, supporting resettable or non-resettable configurations.
- Battery Charger: Integrated charger supporting up to 33 Ah batteries internally (UL) or up to 50 Ah batteries in an external enclosure.
Loop Capacity & Initiating Circuits (IDNet 2)
- Standard Capacity: 100 addressable points on one built-in, isolated IDNet 2 Signaling Line Circuit (SLC).
- Maximum Capacity: Expandable up to 250 addressable points using plug-in loop expansion modules.
- Wiring Configurations: Supports Class A (Style 6 or 7) or Class B (Style 4) wiring topologies.
- Device Compatibility: TrueAlarm addressable smoke, heat, and multi-sensor detectors, as well as addressable monitor and control modules.
Addressable Notification (IDNAC)
- Circuit Output: One built-in 3 A Class B IDNAC SLC.
- Device Capacity: Controls and powers up to 127 addressable notification appliances (horns, strobes, and speaker-strobes).
- Wiring Performance: Maintains a constant 29 VDC output during battery operation. This configuration reduces voltage drop and allows for longer wire runs with smaller gauge wire.
- Advanced Control: Enables independent control of horn tone, volume, and strobe flash rates on individual appliances over a single pair of wires.
Integrated Inputs/Outputs (I/O)
- Conventional Zone Module: Pre-installed with an 8-point Zone/Relay card.
- Flexibility: Each of the 8 points can be individually configured as a Class B conventional initiating zone (for 2-wire or 4-wire smoke detectors) or as a Form C auxiliary relay output rated for 2 A at 30 VDC.
- Onboard Relays: Includes 3 programmable standard relays dedicated by default to System Trouble, System Alarm, and System Supervisory conditions.
User Interface & Mechanicals
- Display Screen: 4.3-inch (109 mm) color touchscreen navigation interface. It features customizable text fields, event logging, and status indicators.
- History Log: Stores up to 2,000 total events (1,000 for alarms and 1,000 for alterations/troubles).
- Enclosure Specifications: Heavy-gauge sheet metal cabinet in Red finish with a locked door and clear viewing window.
- Dimensions: Approximately 22.5″ H x 15.5″ W x 5.2″ D (572 mm x 394 mm x 132 mm), making it well-suited for tight electrical rooms or corridors.
