    The Edwards EST SIGA-CC1 is an intelligent addressable signal module designed for use with Edwards Signature Series fire alarm systems. It allows the fire alarm control panel to connect and control supervised Class B signal circuits used for notification appliances, audio evacuation speakers, or firefighter telephone circuits.

    The module operates under command of the Signature loop controller and can switch power inputs to controlled circuits depending on its programmed personality code. It supports multiple applications including audible/visual notification power selection, audio evacuation, and telephone circuits with ring-tone generation.

    The SIGA-CC1 features built-in intelligence and microprocessor-based operation, enabling faster system response and improved reliability. Signature Series devices automatically report their location on the loop using automatic device mapping, simplifying system commissioning and maintenance. Electronic addressing is performed directly by the loop controller without manual switches or dials.

    Edwards APS10A/230 Auxiliary Power Supply

    The Auxiliary Power Supply (APS) is a UL 864, 9th Edition listed power supply. It is a 24 Vdc filtered-regulated, and supervised unit that can easily be configured to provide additional notification appliance circuits (NACs) or auxiliary power for Mass Notification / Emergency Communication (MNEC), as well as life safety, security, and access control applications.

    The APS contains the circuitry to monitor and charge internal or external batteries. Its steel enclosure has room for up to two 24 ampere-hour batteries. For access control-only applications, the APS can support batteries totaling up to 65 ampere-hours in an external enclosure. The APS has four Class B (convertible to two Class A) NACs. These can be activated in one or two groups from the APS’s unique dual input circuits. The APS has a door-mounted AC power indicator LED.

    The APS also has room for and can power a number of different modules. These can be Signature AA-30 or AA-50 dual-channel audio amplifiers, SIGA-UIO modules and/or SIGA-RELs. A MN-BKRT3 can also be installed. This bracket can accommodate an MN-NETSW1 Ethernet network switch, an MN-FVPN VoIP module and a MN-COM1S Communications module.

    The APS is available in 6.5 or 10 ampere models. Each output circuit is has a capacity of three amperes; total current draw cannot exceed the unit’s rating.

    The 3-CPU3 is the Central Processing Unit Module monitoring the status of all modules and providing the link for network communications. Although each local rail card contains their own microprocessor, the 3-CPU3 provides all inter-module communication and has the ability to download rail module operating parameters. Upon power up the 3-CPU3 automatically learns all local rail module attributes and locations. Site specific software is loaded into the 3-CPU3 which then downloads data to each local rail module. Firmware upgrades are also done from the 3-CPU3 eliminating the need to unplug chips on rail modules.

    Mounting must be in the first two local rail spaces of the upper 3-CHAS7 (module chassis). Options for the 3-CPU3 include the addition of an LCD display and User Interface, RS-232 Communication Card, and RS-485 Series Network Communication Cards.

    The 3-CPU3 is fully compatible on the same network with the 3-CPU and 3-CPU1 modules.

    EST3 networks easily configure to single or multi mode fiber optic or combination fiber optic / copper networks using the 3-FIBMB2 Fiber Optic Communications Interface and the appropriate fiber optic transceivers. The 3-FIBMB2 electronics card plugs right into the CPU. A ribbon cable connects the 3-CPU directly to the 3-FIBMB2 fiber interface card. The interface card mounts in the 1⁄2 footprint space in a 3-CHAS7 chassis or 3-CAB5 enclosure. The 3-FIBMB2 supports from one to four single or multi mode transceivers that plug into the interface card. Each transceiver provides the transmission and reception capability for the network data or digital audio data to/from a 3-FIBMB2 located in the next network node using single and/or multi mode fiber optic cables. The 3-FIBMB2 also supports copper wire connections, permitting network data and audio communications format changes from copper to single mode fiber, copper to multi-mode fiber, and single to multi-mode fiber, as job conditions require. All copper and fiber circuits can be configured as supervised Class B, Class A, or Class X circuits. The 3-FIBMB2 has a constant output test signal that simplifies installing and testing multi-mode fiber circuits only, reducing setup and troubleshooting time. Secondary power input terminals and an external 24 Vdc source can be used to provide continuous network and audio data to flow through the 3-FIBMB2, when the panel is powered down for servicing.

    The 3-SSDC2 and 3-SDDC2 Signature Driver Controller modules provide an intelligent interface between the CPU module and Signature Series devices. Each module contains its own microprocessor used to coordinate, process and interpret information received from and sent to Signature devices. Power and communications is received directly from the control panel rail assembly. The 3-SSDC2 Single Signature Driver Controller module supports one Signature Data circuit, while the 3-SDDC2 Signature Dual Driver Controller module supports two Signature circuits. Both modules occupy one rail space in the fire alarm control cabinet and provide removable field wiring terminals to aid installation.

    Innovative design gives the 3-SSDC2/3-SDDC2 and Signature devices truly “distributed intelligence”. Signature detectors and modules have their own on-board microprocessor communicating with the loop controller in a fully digital communication format. This increases the accuracy of the information coming to and from the loop controller by reducing the effects of capacitance and noise.

    With decentralized intelligence much of the decision making moves from the loop controller to the devices. Advanced fire detection algorithms processed within the Signature devices effectively end unwanted alarms. Environmental compensation and multiple sensing element decision making operations are resident in the devices. Intelligent devices allow the Signature Controllers to execute communication and system functions with greater speed and low baud rates, increasing the accuracy of information transmitted between the loop controller and devices.

    The Edwards EST 4-PPS/M System Power Supply Module is a high-efficiency switch-mode power supply designed for use with Edwards EST3 and EST4 large life safety platforms. It provides filtered and regulated 24 VDC power to system modules, control displays, and auxiliary circuits within the fire alarm control panel.

    The module consists of two primary assemblies: a power supply unit (PSU) mainboard and a monitor (MON) module. The monitor module distributes power to the system’s local rail architecture and provides communication and diagnostic monitoring between the power supply and the fire alarm control panel.

    A single 4-PPS/M power supply can deliver 7 amps of regulated output, while multiple supplies can be installed in parallel within the same enclosure to increase total system capacity. Up to four supplies can be combined to provide as much as 28 amps of available system power for connected modules and auxiliary outputs.

    The unit supports universal AC input and includes a temperature-compensated battery charger designed for sealed lead-acid standby batteries. Integrated monitoring functions perform automatic battery load testing and provide diagnostic reporting to the control panel to help simplify troubleshooting and maintenance.

    The Edwards EST SIGA-278 is a Signature Series intelligent addressable manual pull station featuring double-action, single-stage operation. To initiate an alarm, the user must lift the upper door marked “LIFT THEN PULL HANDLE” and then pull the alarm handle.

    The device incorporates an integral microprocessor, allowing alarm decisions to be made at the station level, improving system response time and reducing sensitivity to line noise. Electronic addressing is handled by the Signature Loop Controller, eliminating manual switch or dial configuration.

    The SIGA-278 is constructed of durable red Lexan and includes a keyed reset mechanism. It is designed for installation in commercial fire alarm systems utilizing Edwards Signature Loop Controllers.

    The Signature Series AB4G sounder bases add audible output functions to any Signature Series detector. Bases can operate as independent local alarms, or as part of a zone or system alarm with synchronized audible output.

    SIGA-AB4G bases provide sounder capability to Signature Series single-function smoke detectors. They are not intended for use with combination smoke/CO devices in Fire-plus-CO mode.
    All bases are compatible with first and second generation Signature Series intelligent detectors when properly configured. SIGA-AB4G sounder bases match the finish of Signature Series devices, and the sound output slots complement the air entry openings of the detector.     The Edwards EST SIGA-CR is an intelligent analog addressable control relay module designed for use with Signature Series systems. It provides a single Form “C” dry relay contact for controlling external equipment such as door closers, fans, dampers, and similar devices. The module communicates over the Signature data loop and uses electronic addressing assigned by the loop controller. All operational decisions are processed onboard by a microprocessor, improving system response time and reducing sensitivity to line noise. The SIGA-CR is factory-configured with Personality Code 8 and requires no field configuration. This standard-mount version installs in North American 1-gang electrical boxes. A UIO plug-in version (SIGA-MCR) is also available for use with Signature UIO motherboards.

    The Edwards EST SIGA-CT2 is an intelligent analog addressable dual input module designed to connect and supervise two Class B normally-open dry contact initiating device circuits (IDCs) on the Signature Series signaling line circuit (SLC).

    Each input circuit is independently programmable using installer-selected “personality codes” downloaded from the Signature loop controller. Supported applications include Alarm (latching), Alarm with delayed latching (waterflow), Supervisory, and Monitor functions.

    The module mounts in a standard North American 1-gang electrical box and provides separate I/O and data loop connections. It incorporates onboard microprocessor intelligence for signal analysis and alarm decision-making, and supports automatic device mapping and electronic addressing through the loop controller or SIGA-PRO programming tool.

    The Edwards EST SIGA-HRD is a Signature Series intelligent heat detector that combines fixed temperature and rate-of-rise heat detection in a single addressable device. It continuously monitors surrounding air temperature and analyzes sensor data using on-board microprocessor intelligence to determine alarm conditions.

    The SIGA-HRD provides a 135°F (57°C) fixed temperature alarm point and a 15°F (9°C) per minute rate-of-rise function for rapid detection of fast-developing fires. Built-in self-diagnostics and non-volatile memory enhance long-term reliability, while automatic device mapping enables the Signature Loop Controller to supervise device location and prevent misplacement after service.

    The detector features electronic addressing, a bicolor (green/red) LED for status indication, and compatibility with a wide range of Signature Series mounting bases, including standard, relay, isolator, and audible sounder bases.
